Abstract

Citizenship rights are one of the important issues that the nature of its existence in relation to religion and custom, as well as how it is realized, has been the subject of politics in Iran. However, this issue has faced various obstacles, the most important of which are cultural barriers and the relationship of citizens with the government as well as with each other has been defined. Therefore, the subject of this research is the role of cultural components in the non-realization of citizenship rights. In other words, the two variables of culture and citizenship rights in Iran were examined and the question was answered as to why desirable and acceptable citizenship rights in Iran are not realized or face problems in relation to cultural components. The results show that cultural issues, especially in the form of political culture, do not allow the formation and consolidation of citizenship rights. The research method in this research is descriptive-analytical and the data are collected and analyzed by taking notes from various library sources.
