The role of international organizations in environmental protection

Abstract

One of the concerns of the present century is to prevent the destruction of the environment and to amend and approve the domestic laws of countries and binding treaties and agreements at the international level. Because the right to a healthy environment reflects transcendent and fundamental values such as the right to life, the right to health, which is exposed to irreparable danger. From the concern of water to nuclear pollution to global warming and ultimately endangering the future lives of the human race. In fact, proper management of natural resources depends on the existence of applicable, applicable and universal legal rules that require international cooperation of all countries and international organizations. In this way, international organizations, in terms of their roles and responsibilities, can take appropriate measures and pave the way for the formation of comprehensive and complete treaties. The question now is to what extent have international organizations been able to take effective steps to protect the environment? International organizations can play an important role in this regard by passing laws and providing solutions to oblige member states to protect the environment. In this study, the position and role of international organizations in the formulation and development of environmental law as one of the most important trends in international law and the right to a healthy environment as one of the third generation human rights and possible measures to promote and protect it.
