Abstract

The Iranian intellectual tradition is influenced by modernity in defining and producing the boundaries of its identity, and by accepting the authority of the values and elements of modernity, it influenced the socio-political developments of twentieth century Iran. The transfer and placement of values and elements of modernity in the context of Iranian society by intellectuals contains the reproduction of its errors and inadequacies in constructing new identities and marginalizing traditional values. This caused some semantic-epistemological disconnections with the internal text of Iranian society and the connection and language with the external text, ie the origin of modernity. The relationship between Ehsan Tabari's discourse and modernity and how to reproduce the authority of the values of modernity in Ehsan Tabari's discourse in the form of Marxism-Leninism is the central issue of this article. This study was performed by descriptive-analytical method and Derrida analysis of deconstruction was used. In breaking the logic of dual confrontations, the rule of repetition and moral-political decisions are important for the critique of self-expression and the one-sided and transcendental view of modernity. In this article, the self-expression representation, transcendental and essentialist attitude of modernity in the form of Marxism-Leninism narrative is deconstructed and the logic of dual confrontations and Tabari discourse authority is revealed.
