Abstract

The development of the importance of sports organizations and the role they can play in the improvement of society and people has led to the organizational performance of sports organizations and their determining factors being prioritized in research studies. In this regard, the purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between organizational growth and organizational performance through the job commitment of the employees of the Ministry of Sports and Youth of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This research is a descriptive survey in terms of purpose, application, and in terms of data collection. The statistical population of this research is the employees of the Ministry of Sports and Youth of the Islamic Republic of Iran. There are approximately 500 employees within the organization of the Ministry of Sports and Youth of J.A., which was obtained by using Morgan's table and a sample size of 140 was obtained and the same number of questionnaires were distributed. In this research, simple sampling method was used and 140 questionnaires were randomly distributed. Due to the presence of the Covid-19 virus, half of the questionnaires were distributed online. To collect data, library documents and questionnaires were used. In this research, 3 organizational growth questionnaires by Spades (2007), organizational performance by Hersey and Goldsmith, and organizational commitment by Allen and Mayer were used to collect data. For data analysis, descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics were used to test hypotheses (structural equation model) for data analysis. The findings of this study showed that organizational growth and job commitment have a significant effect on organizational performance.
