Sociological analysis of awareness of citizenship rights (case study: Meshkinshahr city)

Abstract

The main discussion in the field of citizenship rights is to familiarize citizens with the applicable and current urban laws and regulations, urbanization and urban management in order to provide support and consistent grounds for citizenship rights for citizens. Citizens' unfamiliarity with their citizenship rights causes them to suffer. The purpose of this research is to investigate and study the level of awareness of citizenship rights and social factors affecting it in Meshkinshahr city. This research was conducted in the year 2021 in a descriptive and analytical way among the citizens of Meshkin Shahr and 380 people were selected as a cluster sample. Pearson's correlation coefficient and multivariate regression statistical methods were used to analyze the data. The results of the data analysis showed that among the independent variables, socio-economic base (with a coefficient of .115) and socialization of the individual in the family (with a coefficient of . 538) have a significant effect on the awareness of citizenship rights. It is suggested to increase citizens' awareness of citizenship rights by improving the socio-economic status of citizens and increasing the knowledge of families in socializing people.
