Abstract

Background: Hospitals are very complex, bureaucratic and multi-specialized social organizations that are allocated a large part of the health system's budget. Patients expect accessible, safe, high-quality, effective and reliable services from hospitals. Therefore, hospital managers should try to provide effective, high-quality and safe services efficiently. The purpose of this research is to investigate the impact of accreditation on the quality assurance of management programs of Navy hospitals.
Materials and methods: The current research is a descriptive survey in terms of practical purpose and in terms of data collection method. The statistical population is all the hospital administrators of the army navy, 110 of them were selected through targeted sampling. Data collection was done using a researcher-made questionnaire.
Conclusion: According to the findings of the research, it can be acknowledged that accreditation can guarantee the quality of hospital management programs. But due to the low coefficient of some accreditation components, it still needs to be improved. Therefore, managers can help to improve and guarantee the quality of hospital programs with proper planning for the implementation of accreditation and evaluation.
