The effect of technology knowledge on the development of social entrepreneurship with emphasis on the mediating role of social responsibility in home-based businesses The purpose of this study was the effect of technology knowledge on the development of social entrepreneurship with emphasis on the mediating role of social responsibility in home-based businesses. The method of the present study was descriptive (non-experimental) and the correlational research design was structural equations with the least squares method. Participants in the present study were home business entrepreneurs in Tehran, which based on Cochran's formula, 234 home business entrepreneurs in Tehran were selected as a statistical sample. In the present study, multi-stage cluster sampling method was used. In this method, the main sample elements were selected in several steps. First, several districts were randomly selected from the city of Tehran and home-based entrepreneurs were identified from each district. The standard questionnaire of Galli et al. (2020) was used to measure the development of social entrepreneurship, the questionnaire of Fard et al. (2018) was used to measure technological knowledge, and the Stanland et al. (2012) questionnaire was used to measure social responsibility. Findings showed that technological knowledge has a positive and significant effect on social responsibility. Also, technology knowledge has a positive and significant effect on the development of social entrepreneurship and also the effect of social responsibility on the development of social entrepreneurship has a significant effect. Also, the indirect impact of technology efforts on the development of social entrepreneurship is significant.
