Abstract

This article examines the role and influence of urban civic institutions in Iran's political development. Accordingly, the main question is: What effect do the duties, powers and performance of urban civic institutions have on Iran's political development?
The temporary answer to the present question is: Urban civic institutions will lead to Iran's political development by exercising the duties and powers enshrined in the law and raising the level of civil participation in governance.
The city council of developed countries has a wide range of responsibilities. In many countries, the affairs of an independent ministry are the responsibility of the city council in developed countries. This system of decentralization has left many matters directly to the collective wisdom of the citizens. Therefore, the performance of the city council is directly related to the wishes of the citizens of developed countries, and it can perform better than the city councils in a There is a centralized system (like Iran), observed.
