Abstract

Service learning is one of the emerging paradigms in the field of learning. The aim of the present study was to design and validate the optimal model of service-oriented social studies curriculum based on the IPARD model for the first year of high school. The method of the present study was combined or mixed (quantitative-qualitative). The research method in the model design stage was synthesis research. The statistical population of the research for this stage was all available documents and library documents and sampling of this stage was a purposeful and criterion-based theory that used various tools such as filing and library studies. In the second step, validation was used to ensure the efficiency of the model. The statistical population of the present study was curriculum specialists and experts, experts in the field of social sciences and experts in educational psychology. The opinions of 18 people were used by sampling method based on the opinions of experts. Finally, the collected opinions of individuals were analyzed
