Investigating the relationship between social identity and its sub-variables with social adjustment in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad provinces

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between social identity and its sub-variables with social adaptation. It is an applied study in terms of its purpose, a comprehensive study in terms of scope, a micro-scope and a cross-sectional study in terms of time. The research method in this study is a survey method, and the data collection tool is a researcher-made questionnaire. The statistical population of the current research is all the people over 18 years of age in the cities of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad, whose number is about 500 thousand according to the census of 2015, and 384 people were selected as the sample size based on the Cochran formula. . Based on various theories such as Durkheim, Parsons, Robert Park, Habermas, Schwartz and McKissack, this research seeks to investigate the relationship between examining the relationship between social identity in different dimensions with social adjustment. The research results indicate that between social identity (0.31) and its dimensions, namely national identity (0.30), historical identity (0.35), cultural identity (0.28), political identity (0.33). And religious identity (0.38) is related to the social adaptation of the citizens of Kohgiluyeh province and Boyer Ahmad.
